Department of Architecture Webinar Series 1: Praveen Maghelal
The first of the webinars to be held in the distance online training period took place.
Within scope of ARCH 502 Theory and Criticism in Architecture II, which is conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceylan Öner, Assoc. Dr. Praveen Maghelal from Khalifa University gave a seminar entitled "Envisioning Masdar City: From ‘Utopian’ to ‘Adaptive’ Approach”.
Dr. Praveen Maghelal has an interdisciplinary educational and professional background in civil engineering, architecture, and urban planning. Dr. Maghelal’s work investigates the role of the built-environment on sustainable and active modes of transportation; the relationship of land use and transportation on healthy communities; and the relationship of land use on sustainable modes of transportation such as walking, biking, and public transportation.
