Department of Architecture Webinar Series 2: Phillip Tabb, PhD
The third guest of the webinars held during the distance online education period was the emeritus professor in architecture Phillip Tabb from Texas A&M University. Dr. Tabb presented his works on “Biophilic Urbanism” as the guest of Asst. Prof. Dr. Athanasios Stasinopoulos and ARCH 320 Advanced Structural Details in Architectural Design course.
Dr. Phillip Tabb is an expert in the area of "placemaking as a sustainable, biophilic, and sacred strategy". After 16 years at Texas A&M University, he retired in 2017. He is now working on his sixth book on “Biophilic Urbanism”. He currently lives in Serenbe, an award-winning community that he designed in 2001. He also designed his own biophilic house there, which can function at net-zero with spiritual sensibilities.
