Course Objectives The course aims to present the tectonic aspects of architecture, the terminology used in building materials and construction, standard structural systems and components, the stages of building construction and the language of construction drawings.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to identify the main building components.
  • Will be able to describe the typical construction process of a building.
  • Will be able to classify the properties of basic building materials and their typical use in construction
  • Will be able to be read and write construction drawings
  • Will be able to search for building industry resources.
Course Description This course introduces students to basic building construction methods and materials, as well as their architectural representation.
